Notice to all persons considering residency at MapleCreek:

In an effort to make MapleCreek a safer and healthier place to live, visit and work at, MapleCreek is joining with all of the properties owned or managed by Lutheran Social Services of Michigan, in becoming totally tobacco-free.

All LSSM properties will phase in this policy between January 1 and April 1 of 2008. Staff and visitors will be prohibited from using any tobacco products anywhere on the campus effective April 1, 2008. Between January 1 and April 1, tobacco use will be restricted to designated areas.

All persons who become residents of MapleCreek after January 1, 2008 will agree to refrain from tobacco use anywhere on the campus. We recognize that this policy may present an inconvenience for some but we believe that it is in the best interest of all the people who live or work at MapleCreek. We appreciate your help in making this a healthier environment for everyone to share.
